What I Help With
Pelvic Calm™ supports women living with persistent bladder pain, urgency, or frequency, especially when:
- Cultures and scans are clear but symptoms continue
- Pain or urgency worsen before stress, intimacy, or rest
- The bladder feels “on alert” even when you know you’re safe
- Fear of flare-ups quietly shapes daily choices and relationships
- Discomfort or tension during intimacy makes connection feel unsafe or difficult
Many of my clients come after medical assessments that found no ongoing infection or structural issue. They’ve tried everything: antibiotics, diets, supplements, therapy, and still live in discomfort, tension, and fear. We then explore the nervous-system and emotional patterns that often sustain the symptoms.
It’s not in your head.
But it is connected to your nervous system, your emotional safety, and your body’s memory.
Clinical Context: UK clinicians recognise that persistent bladder pain and urgency often fall under the umbrella of Bladder Pain Syndrome (BPS) or Interstitial Cystitis (IC): chronic pain and urinary symptoms without ongoing infection. Source: North Bristol NHS Trust – Pelvic Pain Service.
How Pelvic Calm™ Works
1) Reframe the Root Cause
When the bladder has been repeatedly irritated or inflamed, the nervous system often keeps “guarding” long after the infection clears. We explore how pain, urgency, and tension become learned protection patterns, and begin teaching the body that it is safe again.
You’ll learn to recognise the early signs of guarding and use awareness exercises to interrupt the old pain–fear loop before it spirals.
2) Regulate the Body
Through gentle somatic practices, breathwork, guided relaxation, and cognitive-hypnotic tools, we calm the fight-or-flight loop and restore safety at a cellular level.
- Diaphragmatic breathing to down-regulate the vagus nerve and ease pelvic tension
- Progressive muscle softening to release guarding in the lower abdomen and pelvic floor
- Grounding and sensory orientation to bring the body back into present-moment safety
- Gentle movement and body scanning to reconnect with internal signals without fear
Clients learn to sense early signals before flares, respond with regulation, and re-establish normal bladder–brain communication.
3) Rewire & Reconnect
As safety returns, so does softness. We integrate subconscious rewiring, emotional release, and energy balancing so your body no longer needs to protect you through pain.
You’ll receive home practices such as guided hypnosis audios, self-soothing touch sequences, or mindful pelvic breath routines to reinforce the new calm pathways between sessions.
Beyond Biology: The Emotional Language of the Pelvis
The pelvic space holds far more than organs. It carries our stories of safety, belonging, intimacy, and self-expression. When emotions like shame, guilt, fear, or suppressed desire remain unprocessed, they often anchor in the pelvic tissues as muscular guarding or inflammation.
For many women, bladder pain reflects deeper layers: the fear of letting go, the need for control, or unspoken grief around sexuality and identity.
Drawing on trauma-informed somatic therapy, hypnotherapy, and mind-body science, I help you gently meet and release these patterns. Not by reliving the past, but by teaching your body what peace feels like again.
Healing doesn’t happen by force. It happens when the body finally feels safe enough to rest.

The Science Behind Pelvic Calm™
- Neuroplasticity: The brain can unlearn pain responses and restore normal signalling.
- Polyvagal Theory: Healing begins when the body feels safe, not when we push harder.
- Pain Reprocessing Therapy: We retrain the brain’s interpretation of safe signals.
- Trauma-Informed Hypnotherapy: Releasing subconscious fear loops that keep the bladder on high alert.
It’s not “just stress.” It’s the biology of safety.

After a decade navigating chronic pelvic and digestive conditions myself, and eventually healing through nervous-system and subconscious work, I dedicated my practice to helping others do the same. I now collaborate with urologists, gynaecologists, and pelvic-floor physiotherapists to bridge medical and mind-body care.
My work integrates neuroscience, hypnotherapy, trauma-informed somatic methods, and energy medicine to help women restore safety, trust, and vitality in their bodies.
